Praline Pumpkin Mousse

Praline Pumpkin Mousse | Cooking Classy During the holidays don’t we all love a recipe that requires minimal effort but yields delicious results? This Praline Pumpkin Mousse will impress your guests yet no one will know how simple it was to prepare. Thanks to the KRAFT products contained in this recipe, like the JELL-O Instant Vanilla Pudding and the COOL WHIP Topping, you get such a major shortcut and don’t have to cook the mousse. You get to cut back on prep time without cutting out flavor or sacrificing good texture. This has everything you are looking for in a mousse. The texture is so light and fluffy that it just melts away in your mouth, and you get a perfect contrast when paired with the crunchy pecans. Their sweet pumpkin spiced flavor will make your taste buds swoon. I love that this is one of those desserts that both young and old alike can agree on. It’s like an upgrade on pudding with added decadence and a more pleasing texture. I’ve always been a huge fan of mousse so it’s nice to find an easy spin on it, and a pumpkin version nonetheless. I’ve been obsessed with pumpkin this fall and I’ve been adding it to everything, so it only makes sense to try it in mousse.
Another great thing about this recipe is it is perfect for a party. It makes perfectly portioned individual servings which is always a great idea for a crowd. I love desserts served up in single servings, they just look fancier and don’t make such a mess. A dessert like this could even make for a great family tradition that you and your family could look forward to each year during the holidays. And you, being the one that will be make them, will look forward to the pure simplicity and ease of prep. I can see it now, my family slowly savoring each bite of this Praline Pumpkin Mousse on Christmas Eve as we all sit clothed in our softest, warmest P.J.s around the glimmering fireplace reading stories of Santa with holiday music quietly playing in the background. And then we’d get up, crank the music up and have a random dance party because we can sometimes tend to do cool things like that :). Don’t you just love holidays though? They carry so many memories and the ambience and atmosphere just cannot be found any other time of year. Nor can all the food that comes along with the holidays.

  • caro: this looks awesome, but why do you use dry pudding powder? Or do you use already the finished pudding product? Thank you in advance, I really want to try it tomorrow January 13, 2016 at 12:21pm Reply
