How do you get kids (and yourself) to eat veggies?  A great answer: a great dip.  This dip is so easy to make, taking only a few minutes.  It stores in the refrigerator up to 3 weeks (as long as all your cream cheese/sour cream doesn’t expire before then), so that is a definite plus to this recipe.

Simple Dill Dip for Veggies

You can make it and have it on hand in the fridge, and whenever you need a healthy snack grab some veggies and dunk them in this simple yet amazing dip.  You could even use 1/3 less fat cream cheese and light sour cream to cut back on the amount of fat in it, or swap for Greek yogurt or cottage cheese to add a little more protein to this snack.  You will no longer be buying that pre-made stuff at the grocer once you have this, which cuts down on preservatives and additional unhealthy ingredients. You can also try other seasonings along with the dill, like mustard, creole, seasoned salt, garlic salt, or even curry powder!

I like to serve this dip and the accompanying veggies and crackers in a muffin tin to make it easy for little fingers to find and try lots of new vegetables that they might not reach for otherwise. We like carrots, tomatoes, cauliflower, broccoli, celery, and bell peppers, but you might want to try peas, blanched asparagus, radishes, green beans, multigrain crackers, ridged chips, Doritos, and even pepperoni slices!
