This fudge sauce is made with just six simple ingredients and you can have it ready in about 10 minutes! It's richly chocolatey, perfectly sweetened, silky smooth and luscious, and it makes for the ultimate molten topping over a refreshing dessert.
In a medium saucepan stir together brown sugar, chocolate chips, evaporated milk, butter and salt.
Bring to a light boil over medium heat, stirring constantly with a spatula (scrape pan and bottom edges). Then let simmer about 1 minute while whisking constantly.
Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla extract.
Let cool for about 10 minutes to thicken slightly before using.
Once cool store in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
Notes
*For a sweeter hot fudge sauce use semi-sweet chocolate chips or increase sugar by up to an additional 1/2 cup. As is this is a slightly darker fudge sauce.
To reheat: Spoon desired amount into a microwave safe dish, reheat in 20 second intervals stirring between each until warmed through and a pourable consistency.
