The main reason I go to Macaroni Grill is for their warm, freshly baked rosemary bread. I eat so much of it that by the time my entree comes I’m not really hungry anymore. I’m sure they are thinking; seriously this girl wants another loaf?

Why yes, don’t mind if I do thank you…and another one after that please :). Unfortunately I don’t live very close to a Macaroni Grill so I had to learn how to make the bread at home.

I used fresh rosemary in this recipe but if you don’t have fresh you could substitute 1 1/2 Tbsp dried crushed rosemary.

You could also add in some roasted garlic to the bread dough or add some fresh garlic to the dipping oil for another layer of flavor.

And yes, just be sure you do serve it with the pepper oil for dipping – it’s the second best part. Hopefully this incredibly fluffy and flavorful bread will find it’s way to your dinner menu soon because you’re going to love it! Enjoy!

I just want to say that this recipe was my first time ever baking, as well as with a Kitchen Aid Mixer, and it was absolutely perfect. I had some unexpected occurrences happen during the last section of rising (it rose for about 2hrs instead of 1.5 in last sitting, & then baked for about 15min in last baking) but it was perfectly moist & no holes. Shared the 2 loaves with friends over some dipping oil & it brought nothing but compliments, will be using again and again. Thanks for sharing your recipe, it’s delicious!!

I also wanted to mention that I did have to add a little water & flour to get the dough right as I wasn’t sure of user error since it was my first time baking, not sure how much as I did pinches of each, but went off my gut, & the recipe was great to go off of and learn from! Could be beginners luck but wouldn’t have known where to start without this recipe

This recipe is perfect. I am so glad I found it! Tastes exactly like it came from the restaurant. The dough needs to stay wet so don’t add two much flour. I used 2 1/2 cups plus 3 tablespoons, until it did not stick to the sides of the bowl. Thank you so much for sharing.

This bread is SO good! I made it to go with pasta fagioli I made for dinner. I thought the recipe looked pretty easy because I’m not very experienced at baking bread. It was easy and my family and I loved it. I followed the recipe exactly. We poured dipping sauce with olive oil and balsamic vinegar on a plate like Macaroni Grill used to serve. We all agreed it is even better than Macaroni Grill. Highly recommend. Thanks for sharing!

This is an excellent recipe! I made this to go with some pasta fagioli soup that I made for dinner. The recipe looked pretty easy to me because I’m not very experienced at baking bread. My family loved it! We all agreed that it’s even better than Macaroni Grill bread. We made the dipping sauce with olive oil and a little balsamic like they used to do at MG. I followed the recipe exactly. Highly recommend!

This bread is so amazing! Wondering if it can be frozen. If so, what would be the best wat to wrap it and thaw it? Thanks!

Yes it could be frozen. To do so wrap in aluminum foil then store in an airtight bag.

Where can we find yeast?? It seems people have bought up all the bread flour and yeast along with Lysol disinfectant sprays and wipes.

You’re best bet is to probably look online (looks like at the moment Amazon has some) or ask at the grocery store when they restock and try to check back then.

Absolutely delicious! I have a question though. Wondering why you didn’t use dry milk in the recipe as many bread recipes typically include. Also, have you tried using a bread maker instead?

You don’t really need the extra flavor here, though it probably wouldn’t hurt to add some if you’d like to try it.
