Chocolate Fruit Dip | Cooking Classy

I’m a huge fan of fruit dips, or any dip for that matter and since we’ve got one more party to be had this year on New Year’s Eve I decided we may as well have one more dip to add to the list. Plus you can never really go wrong with a little chocolate in your life.

This Chocolate Fruit Dip is a dip that everyone will love! It’s incredibly creamy, perfectly light and fluffy and it’s loaded with chocolate flavor. And did I mention it’s incredibly easy to make?

This is one of those dips that’s so good you might not even care so much about the fruit, you’ll want to just grab a spoon and dive in. You’ll love the way it compliments strawberries and bananas though. I thought raspberries would be another delicious option. I wonder how a citrus might be with it too, such as tangerines?

Enjoy and have a great weekend everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!

  • Melissa: Just wondering, could this be made a day ahead? So much cooking to do tomorrow for a party, I’d love to check this off my list. Not sure the whipped cream would keep fluffy overnight. January 24, 2015 at 2:00pm Reply

    • Jaclyn: It won’t be quit as fluffy but it still holds up pretty well overnight. January 24, 2015 at 10:49pm Reply

  • Sylvia: Looks and sounds absolutely amazing! Can’t wait to try. Have you tried this using whipped cream, instead of heavy cream?? Just trying to avoid making a trip to the store the day of Super Bowl! Thanks!! January 31, 2015 at 7:45pm Reply

    • Jaclyn: Do you mean whipping cream? In the past I’ve found whipping cream will whip up but since it’s lower in fat it just takes longer. January 31, 2015 at 11:04pm Reply

  • Donna Thiemann: Thank you for posting this recipe. I made this fruit dip for a party at my daughters work along with other dishes. This was so smooth and whipped right up. Amazing flavor and very adaptable to adding liquiors and other extracts. I served this with cut up fruit and sliced pound cake. Thank you for putting this out there. • Joanna: This recipe sounds (and looks) amazing! I wonder what would happen if I added peanut butter to it? Has anyone ever tried it? April 8, 2015 at 5:46am Reply

  • Donna Thiemann: I think peanut butter would work well if you substitute some peanut butter for say half the cream cheese. Equal portions of each and continue as directed. Should taste wonderful. May 2, 2015 at 12:11pm Reply

  • Connie G: This dip looks absolutely delicious. Would like to make it for a party tomorrow. Would I be able to use Cool Whip instead of the heavy cream? August 8, 2015 at 11:02am Reply

    • Jaclyn: That should work just fine. I just prefer the flavor of cream. August 8, 2015 at 11:07am Reply

  • Karen: Made this for my son’s 21st birthday it was a hit I actually had people putting it in plastic cups and covering it with Saran Wrap to take home before the party even ended I’m not one to cook or do complex appetizers this was simple quick and easy and delicious March 24, 2016 at 10:54am Reply

  • Rachel: I made this for a party recently. It was really good. My kids were eating it plain with no fruit, like mousse. I used dark cocoa because I dont like milk chocolate. Will make it again! May 29, 2016 at 12:19pm Reply
